We always hear that a good woman is hard to find, and scripture confirms that a woman’s value is far more than treasure. But does scripture support any words on a “good man”.
What is the value of a man?
Does it matter about the value of that good man. I have said before and gave videos of the importance of man and how important a good man is to be in the household or for a woman to have a relationship with a “good man” to many times a good man can be mistreated and not shown his value as the good man.
Below are some great examples of the “good man”. Ladies if you have a good man let him know so that he will stay on the purpose that God has placed within him.
A good man is a saved man
When a man accepts Jesus Christ as his Savior and He comes into his heart then a change will take place in him. Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
A good man is a GOD-FEARING man.
A man that is saved will fear the Lord. Fear in this sense does not mean to be afraid of someone but rather to have a healthy respect for that person.
“In good men, the fear of God is a holy awe or reverence of God and his laws, which springs from a just view and real love of the divine character. Leading the subjects of it to hate and shun everything that can offend such a holy being, and inclining them to aim at perfect obedience.”
A good man is a STUDENT of the Scriptures
A good man will not only read his Bible every day, but he will also study it. He will not take what others say as “gospel” but will search the Scriptures.
A good man LOVES GOD’S WORD
A good man uses God’s Word when trials and temptations come along. He can’t do this unless he has committed God’s Word to memory. Matthew 4:4, “But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeded out of the mouth of God.”
A good man OBEYS GOD’S WORD
It is not enough for a man to read, to study and to quote Scripture. He must also obey what He reads in God’s Word. The more a man reads and studies the Bible the more the Holy Spirit will reveal to him.
A good man is a man of PRAYER
A good man will have a good prayer life.
A good man will have an open line of communication with God.
A good man will pray for his family, his wife or wife-to-be (even if he doesn’t know who she is yet) and his children
A good man prays for his pastor.
A good man is INCOMPLETE
God determined that man was not meant to live his life alone. When God created the world he made everything in pairs.
A good man will love his wife as God intended him to.
A good man doesn’t beat up his wife physically, emotionally, or mentally.
A will man will LEAD his family
A good man will not let others take this responsibility from him.. God is going to hold him accountable for the children he helped bring into this world.
A good man is HUMBLE
A good man will be humble. He will not seek the spotlight but gladly let others who are more talented, more creative, or more knowledgeable be out front.
A good man will not get jealous when others are praised or rewarded, even if he should have received that praise or reward
A good man WAITS on God
A good man will check out any girl that he is interested in first before he takes that final step toward marriage.
Are you faithful?
Are you growing spiritually or are you at the same level you were the day you got saved? Are you in God’s will?
Psalm 37:23, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.”
