πŸ™€πŸŽƒπŸŽƒTricky Treats πŸŽƒπŸŽƒπŸ™€

Well it’s that time of year for the innocent door to door trick or treat time.

How innocent is it really?

Should a Christian participate or not?

How far do we go on either spectrum?

Each person is going to have to make their own choice to participate in this β€œholiday”, but you need to make that decision with discernment, wisdom, and knowledge.

I grew up in a world with neighbors who invited you in to homemade donuts and treats, hot apple cider and of course candy. Now we live in a world where people poison candy and place needles and razor blades in it.

That alone gives you a reason to pause and think about how you participate.

But I am going to go much deeper.

According to Celtic mythology, the veil between the Otherworld and our world thins during Samhain, making it easier for spirits and the souls of the dead to return. People would make offerings of food in order to get on the good side of these spirits and departed ancestors

Bobbing for apples still remains a popular party game.

The reason?

Well, the practice used to be considered a form of divination performed around Halloween, according to NPR.

That’s right – people would dunk their heads in a vat of water and try to bite into floating fruit in a quest to figure out their future spouse.

Ladies would mark an apple and toss it into the tub.

The thinking was they’d be destined to whoever pulled it out of the water.

In medieval England, “soulers” would go around begging rich folk for “soul cakes” on Halloween.

Instead of threatening to play tricks, however, they’d pray for peoples’ souls in return for the cake, according to “The Compleat Teacher’s Almanack.”

Throughout medieval Europe, mummering was a tradition.

Murmuring was dressing in disguises and visiting neighborhoods while dancing, playing music, and doing tricks, and thus was popular on major feast days.

As crazy as these are they are not by far the most sinister parts of this holiday.

From about 1500 B.C., the much feared Druids were in power In Western Europe.

This was a sect of priests, both male and female.

Their cruelty and barbarity in the kind of magic they practiced far outweighed their scholarship.

People were used as sacrifices and were flogged, tortured, and sexually molested before they were killed by having their hearts torn out while they were still alive. Their sexual organs were cut off and conserved to be used in black masses. Sometimes they were skinned, and the skin was used in different rites.

The Druids taught that on Halloween ghosts, spirits, fairies, witches and elves came out to harm people.

From this terrible satanic religion comes the use of witches, ghosts, and cats In today’s celebration of Halloween.

Have you ever paused to consider that there is a good reason why animal shelters and pet stores refuse to adopt out black cats in particular but mist now stop all adoptions in the weeks leading up to Halloween?

Sadly this night is not just to kill animals but just as many children are tortured and sacrificed in satanic rituals. Where do you think a good many human trafficking victims end up?

Sadly many people simply do not want to believe that such things are going on in America and across the globe. There are things going on out there that is absolutely inhuman and unimaginable.

TRICK OR TREAT?

Is there any redeeming quality to participating in celebration of any of these holidays?

How do we as Christians take back the days that the Lord made?

That is an easy one as I asked Jesus and he was very clear.

“Know who you are in me, repent over the land and take it back”.

What he said next to me was the following

“During these dark days gather with the body and praise, and worship, and pray for and against the atrocities being done to My children. And last but not least take communion and seal it with My Sons blood which is more powerful than anything the enemy can conjure up”.

Do you still want to participate and hand out candy?

That is a personal choice, but if you do pray over and anoint it and speak blessings over it.

Pray over your house and anoint it that anyone who steps foot on your property feels the love of Jesus.

It is time to take back what the enemy stole from us,

but there is NOTHING involved with this holiday that was ever from God in the first place.

How about turn it in a Holyday of Praise and Worship, singing and dancing and signs wonders and miracles.

Light up the sky with Holy Spirit Fire πŸ”₯.
